If ever there was a footballer who earned the epithet "flawed genius", it was George Best. The Northern Ireland legend was a wizard on the pitch and charismatic off it, where he was always to be found with a drink in his hand and a pretty woman or two on his arm. In the end, the flaws – notably the alcohol – got the better of the genius.

Director Daniel Hill’s documentary shows the adulation that Best inspired in Manchester United fans at Old Trafford even as a 17-year-old, as well as his wild side outside of football, and finally his emotional burial back in his native Belfast, where over 100,000 mourners filled the streets.

In conjunction with the 15th 11mm International Football Film Festival Berlin, being held from 22 – 26 March 2018, the FIFA World Football Museum is delighted to show this gripping documentary of the life of George Best at the Event Hall.
